Kickoff Event Recap: A Great Start to Our Fellowship Journey!

With our kickoff transpiring, this event was our official launch for the In the Black Fellows program!

Fellows were introduced to the program and what it will consist of, and were also introduced to program founder and Cornerstone’s Executive Director, Monique Thomas. Additionally, there were introductions from board members, SLCCU partners, Haven of Light partners, and lead funder, Edward Jones.

As a part of our kickoff event, Fellows were both celebrated and recognized for being a part of this empowering, healing journey. As a symbol of recognition, Fellows were pinned with IBF logo pins, signifying their commitment to personal growth, community impact, and their role as leaders in fostering change. This moment not only highlighted their achievements but also served as a reminder of the journey ahead and the strength they bring to the collective mission.

We acknowledge our Fellows as professional and sophisticated individuals dedicated to making an impact in their community and pursuing their own self-empowerment. To honor this, we believe it is essential to showcase each Fellow in a professional light, providing them with the respect and recognition they rightfully deserve.
